Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Source and underwrite development opportunities
- Create pro-formas and financial projections for potential developments projects
- Conduct field investigations including rent studies, neighborhood analysis, entitlements, and land/sales summaries
- Manage zoning, entitlement, and permitting activities
- Perform underwriting processes, analyze market information, operational expenses, and estimate costs
- Establish project timelines and spending forecasts
- Compile components for investment packages
- Present development opportunities
- Coordinate with construction personnel to meet budget and timing targets
- Work with third-party consultants on construction plans, entitlements, and financing
- Strategize with third-party property management companies to maximize returns during lease-up
- Communicate and track progress with local officials, brokers, consultants, etc.
- Participate in decision-making process regarding product, mix, parking, and design
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a four-year college or university
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Proficient in advanced Excel Financial Modeling
- Proficient in Adobe
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered planner or engineer
- Experience with Multifamily Municipalities and entitlements
