Description
The Multifamily Construction Superintendent will:
- Manage the job site from project inception through completion
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with subcontractors regarding project progress, schedules, changes, and material deliveries
- Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project-specific issues
- Lead daily field operations and ensure construction activities remain on schedule
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure the job site consistently meets or exceeds OSHA standards
- Maintain project documentation including daily reports, change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal logs
- Conduct subcontractor meetings and coordinate all field activities
- Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications
- Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building requirements
- Communicate effectively with owners, project managers, architects, engineers, and fellow superintendents to ensure project success
- Assist in resolving field issues while maintaining project schedule and budget objectives
Profile
The Multifamily Construction Superintendent should have:
- 5+ years of construction superintendent experience with a General Contractor
- Experience building ground-up multifamily projects valued at $10 million or greater
- Experience managing apartments, mixed-use, student housing, hospitality, or senior living projects preferred
- OSHA certification preferred
- Demonstrated success leading projects and managing large subcontractor teams
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, safety, and quality control
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
