Multi-Site Service Technician (The M at Shadow Mountain/The Charleston)

We’re hiring a Multi-Site Service Technician at The M at Shadow Mountain and The Charleston in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will help keep our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community, while providing the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensure pool is in proper chemical balance, and keep the area free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability, correct the hazard, or inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members; be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Requirements

• 1 year minimum of multi-family experience as a maintenance technician.
• General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00–$23.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications (eligibility begins 90 days from hire; additional requirements may apply).
