Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew) - FoodMaxx - 5510 Monterey Highway, San Jose, CA 95138

The Save Mart Companies is currently recruiting for the position of Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew). Located at 5510 Monterey Highway, San Jose, CA 95138, this role involves a variety of clerical tasks including stocking shelves, pricing items, offloading shipments, unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes. Other responsibilities include order writing, freshness/code checking, ensuring item integrity, reporting safety issues, maintaining proper temperatures, and operating the check stand.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, display, and price products.
• Break down loads, including unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes.
• Order writing and item to tag integrity.
• Report all risks or safety issues to management.
• Ensure proper temperature in cases/coolers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• Know location of MSDS binder and information about materials used.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months of relevant experience or equivalent.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance and may lift up to 85 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to carry up to 80 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to push up to 85 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to pull up to 92 lbs on occasion.
• Standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, carrying, and fine/fine manipulation of hands.
• Operating tools such as step stools, carts, registers, safety cutters, rolling ladders, food preparation equipment, ovens, warmers, food mixers, meat cutting instruments, various carts, packaging components, and equipment, and cleaning supplies.

Benefits
