Responsibilities
- Performs all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: including CT or MRI or serves the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
- Assists physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation.
- Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures. All procedures will be conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed.
- Aids physicians with procedures as needed.
- Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols.
- Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities.
- Maintains equipment in efficient operating order.
- Performs and documents all required quality control testing.
- Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.
- Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.
- Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.
- Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.
- Maintains stock and inventory as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have >10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR or one (1) year general radiology experience.
- Must have 2 years experience in two or more modalities.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Must have current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program.
- Must have current and valid CT or MR license.
- Must have National certification in specialty field: ARRT, ARMRIT, ARRT-MR, ARRT-CT.
