Responsibilities
- Performs duties for any 2 imaging modalities (XR, CT, MRI).
- Operates equipment and follows protocols for 2 imaging modalities.
- Selects appropriate imaging sequences and ensures compliance with approved protocols.
- Documents patient history and lab work accurately.
- Ensures patient safety by applying safety principles and radiation protection measures.
- Performs venipuncture, medication preparation, and contrast administration as needed.
- Monitors patient conditions during treatments and communicates with medical professionals.
- Schedules appointments and manages patient records.
- Provides critical care and de-escalation techniques as necessary.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute or approved nuclear medicine technology program.
- Certification and registration with ARRT or RDMS or CNMT.
- Competence in 2 of the following areas within 12 months: Bone Densitometry, Breast Sonography, Radiologic Technology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Sonographer, Vascular Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Vascular Sonography, Registered Vascular Technologist.
- Class A or Class B CDL (preferred for mobile mammography programs).
- BLS certification (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH).
