Responsibilities

  • Performs duties for any 2 imaging modalities (XR, CT, MRI).
  • Operates equipment and follows protocols for 2 imaging modalities.
  • Selects appropriate imaging sequences and ensures compliance with approved protocols.
  • Documents patient history and lab work accurately.
  • Ensures patient safety by applying safety principles and radiation protection measures.
  • Performs venipuncture, medication preparation, and contrast administration as needed.
  • Monitors patient conditions during treatments and communicates with medical professionals.
  • Schedules appointments and manages patient records.
  • Provides critical care and de-escalation techniques as necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute or approved nuclear medicine technology program.
  • Certification and registration with ARRT or RDMS or CNMT.
  • Competence in 2 of the following areas within 12 months: Bone Densitometry, Breast Sonography, Radiologic Technology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Sonographer, Vascular Interventional Radiography, Mammography, Vascular Sonography, Registered Vascular Technologist.
  • Class A or Class B CDL (preferred for mobile mammography programs).
  • BLS certification (required at hire for Roper St Francis Healthcare locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care at BSMH).

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
