Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician’s orders.
• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Maintains patient condition and reports/responds to changes in status.
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.

Requirements

• Current state Radiologic Technologist license.
• Approved course in Radiologic Technology degree.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of hospital training in Radiologic Technologist program.
• Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices.
• ARRT membership or registry eligibility and maintenance.
• Membership in national, state, or local societies.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Stress management and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Current state Radiologic Technologist license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• ARRT membership or registry eligibility.
• Experience in radiology or related field.

Pay

$10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment.
