Multi-Media Account Executive, Entry Level

About the role

WUTR/WFXV-TV, part of the Nexstar Media Group in Utica, New York, operates ABC and FOX broadcast stations plus a digital agency that sells ads on streaming TV, apps, and retargeting across devices and websites. The role focuses on a consultative, multimedia sales approach to help clients grow their business. You will work in a vibrant DMA with both urban excitement and rural relaxation, developing TV and digital revenue while building lasting relationships in the local business community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and increase sales volume for both TV and digital revenue
• Prospect, qualify, close, and grow new business
• Continue to learn and implement new strategies and products
• Handle order entry, contracts, follow‑up, and collections
• Play a role in the production of client creative elements
• Advocate for our products and programs
• Implement strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals
• Establish credible relationships within the business community
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients
• Proficient with popular social media and digital platforms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Outlook
• Educate customers on the variety of available TV and digital products to most effectively promote their products and/or services
• Work with clients and station personnel to develop advertising and promotional campaigns
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Pre‑employment criminal and driving background check
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Sales experience preferred
• Full sales training provided

• Salary range: $40,000 – $60,000
