Multi-Family Component/Truss Estimator

Responsibilities

• Estimating: Perform accurate material take-offs for multi-family truss and component designs.
• Review construction documents to determine required materials for bids.
• Identify and correct inaccuracies in truss-related material lists.
• Interpret architectural and structural plans to generate truss layouts.
• Collaborate with Component/Truss Designers to ensure accurate truss and panel specifications.
• Field Support: Work directly with outside sales representatives on blueprint interpretation and project details.
• Provide updates on take-off status and assist sales teams in project selling.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in multi-family truss design or truss estimating.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints specifically for truss layout.
• Strong understanding of multi-family construction standards.
• Familiarity with professional estimating software.
• Proficiency in MiTek truss design software (preferred); ITW/Alpine experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Experience in building material sales is helpful.
