Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician position involves performing various maintenance tasks in an industrial manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The technician must also support the installation of new equipment and facilities improvements, maintain compliance with company quality systems, and respond to and complete work orders promptly.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices, ensuring safe working conditions
• Perform maintenance functions such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
• Accurately read gauges and test equipment, utilize basic shop math, and inspect equipment
• Support installation of new equipment and facilities improvements
• Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits
• Assist with cleaning functions such as blowing down machines, wiping shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming, sweeping, and disposing of scrap

Requirements

• 2 years of related mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing production environment
• Mechanical Journeyman certification or Technical/Vocation Certificate preferred
• Experience/knowledge in electrical circuit troubleshooting, plumbing, pneumatics, mobile equipment, and mig welding
• Ability to adapt to change, problem solve, and prioritize work
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and climb frequently
• Ability to stand for periods of a minimum of 3 hours
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and varying schedules
• Ability to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs up to 70 lbs occasionally
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics, piping diagrams, in orthographic, isometric, and sketch-views
• Read factory orders and action-oriented, customer-focused, priority-setting abilities

Pay

$32.66/hr. up to $38.60/hr.

Schedule

Variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and possible holidays.
