Responsibilities
- Install, repair, maintain, move, align, erect, or install production/facility/electrical equipment.
- Design, program, repair and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Systems.
- Complete work orders, PM rounds, repairs, and general maintenance.
- Diagnose trouble and determine extent of repairs necessary; repair, refit, or replace parts.
- Reorder supplies and equipment, as needed.
- Lay out carpentry work and specify materials; includes finishing and masonry work.
- Notify Supervisor or designated personnel of any irregularities or problems encountered with supplies, machinery, or processes.
- Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continual improvement opportunities.
- Safety is a personal responsibility; verify that area and equipment are safe before proceeding with duties.
- Check all safety equipment; follow all facility safety rules and procedures; wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
- Lock-out/Tag-out procedures must be adhered to when equipment is down for repair or cleaning.
- Keep equipment in safe operating condition, report problems to Maintenance department.
- Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
- An Associate Degree or Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Successful completion of Competency Assessment may be considered in lieu of education.
- Three (3) years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, service manuals and maintenance records.
- Understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, HVAC, rubber industry production equipment internal combustion engines, single and three phase electric motors.
- Requires the ability to perform basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Strong computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
- Familiarity of E-Maintenance, a plus.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
