About the role
Join our team in Kansas City, MO, as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician. You’ll support corrugated box production by maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations in a high-volume industrial environment.
Pay
- Base pay: $32.32–$41.24 per hour, based on skills and experience
- Shift differential: +$2.50 for off shifts
- Opportunity to increase compensation through skill development and plant performance contributions
Schedule
- Rotating 3-2-2-3 shift schedule (e.g., 5:00 AM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–5:00 AM)
- First 30–90 days: 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) for training
- Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
- Facility shift hours:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment to meet defined standards and product specifications
- Monitor and input data into computer control systems
- Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic asset care
- Maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with the team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
- Operate and work safely around mobile equipment
- Adhere strictly to safety rules and regulations, including wearing required safety equipment
- Perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing/pulling) for up to 12 hours a day in a loud, industrial environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical issues
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Industrial electrical knowledge, including advanced motor and frequency drive troubleshooting
- Mechanical maintenance experience with conveyor systems, actuated valves, and welding
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Prior maintenance experience in the packaging industry, particularly with converting/corrugating equipment
- Associate degree in electrical and/or mechanical technology
