Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician- 3rd shift

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs extraordinarily complex technical tasks and decision-making.
• Maintains and repairs complex machinery, including AC/DC/Servo Motor Control Systems and Instrumentation Control Systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical systems/machinery.
• Conducts root cause analysis on system and equipment malfunctions and inefficiencies.
• Works collaboratively with production associates and other technicians to solve problems with reliability and urgency.
• Seeks ways to drive plant and maintenance cost efficiencies.
• Models and mentors Maintenance Technicians, providing "hands on" training and direction to lower-level mechanics and techs.
• Utilizes appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.), and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• Exposure to temperatures ranging from 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• Exposure to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing plant.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED and 8+ Years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, problem-solving and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment.
• Expert Proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, PLC, Welding and Rigging Maintain Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
• Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.
