About the Role

Troubleshoot, install, and repair all aspects of Automatic, Robotic, and CNC machinery. Troubleshoot and repair Automated Paint Lines, Setting Presses, Automated Welders, CNC Grinders, Robots, and other complex machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of equipment and machinery, including PLC programming and program modifications, programming of HMIs and servo controllers.
  • Jog and reset Fanuc and Denso Robots. Teach/Touch up Robot positions to correct material handling paths.
  • Plan and install primary and secondary controls, diagnose electrical/electronic problems, replace or repair parts, detect and replace defective control modules, test units for proper function, and make final adjustments.
  • Prepare wiring diagrams to record changes.
  • Make mechanical repairs as necessary (all technicians perform mechanical repairs regardless of pay grade).
  • Support daily continuous improvement activities.
  • Enter all work completed or in progress into the SAP work order system.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary to support production.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment working with Control Systems, PLCs, CNC Controls, Robots, PCs, and HMIs.
  • Working knowledge of prints, schematics, and equipment documentation for installation, modification, and repair of production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of machine communications, including understanding of communication cables and LAN components.
  • Full competency in working safely in electrical control panels of various voltage levels.
  • Qualified to work in electrical panels of 3-phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE (verified by a practical demonstration).
  • Good computer, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • Prior Robot Schools certification is a strong plus (required to operate and teach robots).
