About the Role
A highly skilled position that involves a combination of electrical and mechanical duties to ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshoot various systems, and maintain proper records.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment to meet or exceed company-established safety culture and OEE expectations.
- Follow Lock Out/Block Out/Tag Out policy and adhere to Electrical Safety Standards, including Arc Flash procedures.
- Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and address unsafe conditions or behaviors proactively.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment, including power and control wiring, motors, controls, and electronic devices.
- Troubleshoot PLC and other electronic systems, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems.
- Read and interpret schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals.
- Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks and evaluate production reports to address inefficiencies.
- Perform production equipment changeovers and building maintenance as directed.
- Maintain records for the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (EAM), including work orders and parts management.
- Coordinate equipment training and provide suggestions for training topics.
- Participate in plant teams and activities, including safety, quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate Powered Industrial Truck, Boom Lift, and Scissor Lift per OSHA regulations.
- Maintain production equipment to ensure it operates properly to manufacture products meeting quality specifications.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), personnel practices, HACCP, and food safety programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area through effective housekeeping and sanitization practices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and technical certifications applicable to servicing industrial equipment.
- At least 5 years of experience with advanced skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Certified training in electrical safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and machine manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC and other electronic systems.
- Proficient in using power tools safely.

Environmental Working Conditions
- Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, including extreme heat (temperatures above 100°F for extended periods).
- Exposure to noise, vibrations, moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, and poor ventilation.
- Exposure to oils and cutting fluids through air and/or skin contact.
Pay
Pay Range Minimum: $26.30 per hour.
