About the role
We're looking for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Employee who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues on production equipment
- Performing mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery
- Welding and fabricating parts as needed to support equipment repairs
- Repairing and maintaining facility systems and equipment
- Completing general maintenance tasks throughout the plant
- Identifying and correcting equipment problems before they lead to downtime
- Working with operations and maintenance teams to keep production running smoothly
- Following all safety procedures while performing maintenance work
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training, trade school certification, or an associate degree is a plus
- Experience working with industrial equipment, machine controls, and 480V/3-phase electrical systems
- Knowledge of HMI systems, AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and other industrial electrical components
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication work
- Valid driver's license required
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license within the City of Altoona is highly desirable
Qualifications
- Dependable, mechanically inclined, and motivated by fixing problems and keeping things running
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Skills
- Strong mechanical skills and a willingness to get your hands dirty
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment
- Ability to operate forklifts and manlifts (or learn quickly)
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and wearing required PPE, including respirators
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Ability to follow directions, communicate clearly, and work as part of a team

- Starting rates from $28.77 to $32.70 per hour
