Multi-Craft Field Service Technician 50k-85k Annually Overtime

G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI) is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Field Service Technician with 4 to 5 years' experience in electrical and mechanical. This is a travel position with the majority of travel within 200 miles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead cranes and hoists.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs for customers.
• Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
• Service overhead crane systems by performing quality installations; performing OSHA/ANSI equivalent inspections; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; and responding to repair calls.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
• Build and maintain customer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing customers of problems, and completing jobs in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.

Requirements

• 4 to 5 years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Welding, fabrication, layout, burning, fitting, and rigging experience are a plus.
• Experience with overhead cranes is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to pass random drug screens, including testing for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
