Mule Opr - A Shift (Storm Lake Pork)

About the role

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lift boxed product from conveyors and stack onto pallets, including consolidating partial pallets.
• Operate equipment, including inverters, stretch wrappers, power industrial trucks, and forklifts.
• Load trailers and perform trailer washout duties.
• Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
• Scan and label boxes, maintain inventory accuracy, and complete required documentation.
• Work in temperatures ranging from -30°F to 100°F.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, and extreme heat.
• Perform duties that include walking, climbing ladders, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and working on concrete surfaces throughout the shift.
• Lift, carry, and stack boxes weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must have at least 6 months of forklift/warehouse experience to be considered.
• Must be able and willing to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and stack materials weighing 20 to 110 pounds.
• Must be able and willing to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8-10 hours per shift.
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, squat, climb ladders, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Must be able and willing to work on concrete surfaces for prolonged periods.
• Must be able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from -30°F to 100°F.
• Must be able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, sleet, snow, and extreme heat.
• Must be able and willing to safely operate forklifts, power industrial trucks, and other assigned equipment.
• Must be able and willing to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety requirements.
• The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
