SUMMARY OF POSITION

Centerstone’s Virtual Clinic is offering a year-long practicum internship opportunity for first-year MSW students interested in community mental health and case management. Interns will work 15–20 flexible hours per week and receive regular supervision from an LCSW and a task supervisor. This placement provides hands-on experience working with clients through intakes, assessments, supportive counseling, resource navigation, and case management. Interns may also assist with group and family sessions, community outreach and advocacy projects, and various administrative tasks. Throughout the internship, students will build skills in assessment, intervention, documentation, professionalism, ethics, cultural competence, and working with individuals, families, and groups. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in an MSW program, have strong communication skills, and can commit to the internship for the full academic year.

Can I choose my own schedule?

Yes! Interns have a flexible schedule and can work 15–20 hours per week over 2–3 days, allowing them to balance their practicum with classes and other commitments. Scheduling is coordinated with the supervisor to meet both learning and clinic needs.

What kind of clients will I work with?
