MS/Surgery Scheduler

About the role
Responsible for the coordination and direction of the daily activities of scheduling in-house and outside patient surgeries including obtaining needed authorizations.
Reports to: Office Manager
Supervises: None
This position is in our Breast Surgery Specialists department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associates Degree, Medical Terminology or Health Care Management (preferred)
- Three (3) years’ experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification requirements or directly related experience in a hospital (required)
- Five (5) years’ experience in Patient Access, Billing, Cash Collections, Insurance and/or Pre-certification requirements or directly related experience in a hospital (preferred)
- No certification, license, or registry required
