MRI Trainee

About the role

Envision Radiology is hiring an MRI Trainee for Keller, TX, working Thursday/Friday from 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation under the guidance of a certified MRI Technologist.
• Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.
• Provides patient interface to ascertain history and communicate exam details.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent.
• Screens patients for surgical and other implants and maintains basic knowledge of compatibility of implants in the MRI environment.
• Performs MRI scans while putting patients at ease.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Screens patients for contraindications and contrast allergies.
• Performs contrast injections using aseptic technique.
• Captures scan protocols with radiologist.
• Interacts with supervisor on problem issues.
• Maintains equipment in good working order.
• Performs all quality procedures as required.
• Adheres to Envision’s Compliance and Quality & Safety Programs.

Qualifications

• Two years prior experience with magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or any ARRT program.
• In process of obtaining American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) certification.
• In process of obtaining Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).
• Current license from state medical board if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.

Pay

Position Pay Range: $32.00 - $43.92

Schedule

Thursday/Friday 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Compliance

• Attends annual Compliance training as set forth by the Company.

OSHA Exposure Rating

No travel is expected for this position. It is reasonably anticipated NO employees in this job classification will have occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids.
