About the Role
This role assists technologists with providing efficient, quality patient services by coordinating patient flow, and verifying and communicating examination protocols to patients.
Responsibilities
- Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to perform imaging. (40%)
- Prepares for and assists the physician in imaging procedures. (40%)
- Completes all required documentation for procedures, e.g. regulatory billing protocol and image distribution. (20%)
- Implements MRI and safety standards. (15%)
- Assists the MRI Technologist by attending to the patient's comforts/needs, expediting patient flow and documenting the patient's clinical information. (10%)
- Maintains adequate supplies for efficient section/department operations. (10%)
- May assist in the preparation of contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. (5%)
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Eligible for or presently enrolled in the TELSA MR program and in good standing.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on work location.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- CPR – American Heart Association certification.
