About the role
This role involves assisting in MRI procedures, including screening patients for contraindications and educating them about the process. Under supervision, you will shadow experienced professionals until capable of performing MRI scans independently, adhering to protocols, safety guidelines, and documenting clinical information accurately.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in scanning patients of all ages
- Administer contrast agents
- Evaluate equipment quality control (QC)
- Maintain departmental communication
- Provide a professional image
- Perform clerical tasks and manage inventory
- Participate in quality improvement projects
- Comply with hospital policies and system-wide competencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Rotate to hospital sites as training progresses
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Radiography or Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT MRI certification within six months of training
- Certifications in CPR and child abuse reporting
- Background clearances
