MRI Technologists - Outpatient (South County CAM)

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time MRI Technologist at the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) - South County, located at 5201 Mid-America Plaza, St. Louis, MO 63129. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Schedule

• Day shift: 4 days per week at 10-hour shifts or 3 days per week at 12-hour shifts (until 8 PM)
• Outpatient facility
• No weekends or holidays

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in MRI (advanced imaging modality) on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis, treatment, and quality control
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures
• Performs studies independently, including on-call situations, portable exams, and at other sites as required

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in a related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
• Experience in MR, CT, RT, X-ray, Radiology, Medical Imaging, or related fields
• ARRT certification or equivalent (e.g., ARMRIT)
• Preferred: Less than 2 years of experience
• Preferred certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Intravenous Therapy

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (e.g., Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis, treatment, and quality control.

The Center for Advanced Medicine - South County is a new outpatient facility jointly owned by Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Located near the Siteman Cancer Center at I-55 and Butler Hill Rd, this two-story, 84,500 square-foot facility includes:

• Outpatient surgery (2 operating rooms and 2 minor procedure rooms)
• Imaging services (plain film, CT, MRI, and screening mammography)
