Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to the referring physician.

Schedule

• Friday mid shift
• Saturday/Sunday 8:00am-5:00pm
• + another weekday shift

What You Will Do in This Role

• Compassionately assist and position patients
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary
• Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary
• Release patients with proper post procedure instructions
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
• American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date
• 2-3 years MRI experience preferred
• On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back
