Key Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patients about procedures to promote cooperation.
- Prepares and administers contrast media or medications within scope; monitors patient condition and responds to changes.
- Prepares equipment, selects appropriate imaging parameters, and performs quality control; troubleshoots equipment issues.
- Positions patients, conducts imaging procedures, analyzes results, and reports scan outcomes.
- Repositions or repeats scans as needed.
- Utilizes critical thinking and works independently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as an RT and in MRI or eligible for registry within 12 months (ARRT or ARMIT).
- Current BLS/CPR certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire.
