Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images, ensuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare, and administer the appropriate contrast material.
• Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as indicated.
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading/comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, computer, and clerical skills.
