MRI Technologist - Twin Cities Orthopedics
About the role
The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients. This is a part-time (0.2 FTE) position, working every other Saturday and Sunday out of our Plymouth and Brooklyn Park locations.
Essential Functions
- Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
- Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
- Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
- Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
- Cover equipment maintenance and repair
- Maintain the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
- May include IV contrast administration as needed
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education And Experience Requirements
- Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
- ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department required
Benefits & Compensation
- Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
- The pay range displayed reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
- A $4,000 sign-on bonus will be offered for select roles, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment.

Working Conditions
- Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time
- Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequently push/pull patients up to 50 pounds, or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
- Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
- Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
