About the role
MRI Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures in accordance with clinical standards and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Review patient history and physician orders; educate patients on procedures to ensure cooperation.
- Prepare, administer contrast media or medications within scope; monitor patient condition throughout procedures.
- Prepare equipment, select imaging parameters, and perform quality control; troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Position patients, perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and ensure image quality; report scan findings.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as an RT and in MRI or eligible for ARRT certification within 12 months.
- State licensure if required; BLS healthcare certification.
- Minimum of one year of related experience.
