Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation.
- Utilize all available MRI resources, protocols, and technology to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients regarding MRI procedures to promote patient comfort and cooperation.
- Adhere to established safety standards, infection control practices, and MRI-specific protocols.
- Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to patient needs and concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
- Ensure proper care, maintenance, and quality control of MRI equipment and work areas.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental operations, and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) and American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT).
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing ladders/step stools, working indoors, working from elevated areas, working in confined/cramped spaces, bending at the waist, twisting at the waist, squatting, performing pinching operations, using both hands/arms, performing repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, using both legs, reaching in all directions, using fingers, maintaining tactile sensory functions, matching or discriminating between colors, determining distance/relationship between objects, seeing and recognizing objects close at hand and at a distance, determining distance/relationship between objects; depth perception, having good peripheral vision capabilities, hearing acuity, and being qualified physically for respirator use.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to learn and use new processes, tools, and equipment as required.
