Radiology Technologist

Job Summary

We're seeking an adaptable, confident, empathetic Radiology Technologist who can provide quality diagnostic imaging for patients and providers at Sanford Health. The Radiologic Technologist works in various settings including clinics, hospitals, EDs, and ORs, handling a wide range of imaging modalities.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients ensuring quality diagnostic images
• Accurately positions patients during radiographic procedures according to provider requests
• Enforces radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices
• Understands and navigates the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Performs basic diagnostic radiology tasks and is aware of general radiology protocols
• Performs mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures

Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) if working in North Dakota
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks of hire into the position
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary
