ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs all essential job responsibilities of a MRI Technologist, including but not limited to, performing age-specific diagnostic imaging per established protocols.
- Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, physicians and other team members. Addresses patient and physician concerns. Responds to adverse events and/or any changes with patient's status.
- Acts as a day-to-day mentor/resource for staff and others within the department. Orients and trains new staff and students.
- Performs and/or trains others relative to quality assurance activities, quality control, and regulatory testing and accreditation preparation/documentation.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of specialty exams and analyzes data promptly to resolve problems and improve efficiency. Enter new or edit existing MRI scanner protocols.
- Participates in standardization activities and process improvement initiatives with system-level workgroups.
- Coverage of chief tech duties, as assigned.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required: Associate degree in healthcare or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience.
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare.
