Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to standards, reviewing patient history, educating patients, and obtaining consent.
- Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within scope, monitor patient condition, and respond to changes.
- Set up equipment, select imaging parameters, ensure safety, perform quality control, troubleshoot issues, and report results.
- Position patients, analyze images for quality, re-position or repeat scans as needed, and transmit results.
- Apply critical thinking, work independently, and operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered (RT) and MRI registry eligible, with completion within 12 months by ARRT or ARMRI.
- CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire.
