Summary

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exams in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical imaging, preferably MRI.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Qualifications

  • Current registration as an MRI Technologist through the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Knowledge of MRI equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
