MRI Technologist - Per Diem
About the role
This position is responsible for MRI technologist duties, including performing MRI procedures (setting up, scanning, and filming). The role involves communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, and their families, as well as performing quality control, maintaining schedules, assisting radiologists, handling medication within the scope of license, starting IVs, and contributing to the efficient operation of the department to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. The position also requires taking call.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures, including setup, scanning, and filming.
- Communicate with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families.
- Perform quality control and reporting tasks.
- Maintain day-to-day schedules.
- Assist radiologists and handle medication within the scope of license.
- Start IVs.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
- Take call as required.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technologist Training Program or MRI Technologist Training Program.
- Washington Radiologic Technologist (RT) License with MR designation (upon hire).
- National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging or National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (upon hire).
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (upon hire).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hospital experience.
- 2 years of sub-specialty MRI experience.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $46.60 - $77.09 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
