Role Overview
This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI and other advanced modalities, on both adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts studies independently or in on-call situations, and ensures MRI safety protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
- Prepping patients and equipment for exams
- Performing imaging studies accurately and independently
- Assisting with workflow and patient care in the department
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree or equivalent in related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist (R.T.(R)) and/or MR
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in radiology, MRI, CT, or related fields
- Licenses such as IEMA (Illinois), CPR, and IV Therapy certifications are advantageous
Key Requirements
- Ability to operate MRI equipment and perform imaging procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols and patient preparation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
