MRI Technologist - PRN

About the Role

Performs MRI procedures to produce diagnostic images, working independently with limited supervision. Provides patient instruction, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures image quality. May perform high-level MRI studies such as cardiac and procedural scans.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI procedures following physician orders
• Prepare patients, position them, and operate MRI equipment
• Ensure safety protocols and manage contrast media administration
• Evaluate image quality and assist with interventional procedures
• Maintain detailed records and documentation
• Supervise allied health students and radiology aides
• Support department needs and respond to emergencies with basic life support as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography or MRI program
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, with ongoing credentialing
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience preferred; new graduates considered
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days is required
