Role: MRI Technologist responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images. Key duties: Preparing patients through assessment and education, ensuring safety, operating MRI scanners, performing image reconstruction, quality control, and documenting images. Additional responsibilities: Administering contrast injections with IV skills, conducting Point of Care testing, reviewing images for quality, and ensuring protocols are followed for interpretation. Qualifications: Associates degree or completion of an accredited radiologic health science program, ARRT or ARMRIT registration, two years of recent MRI experience, and BLS certification. Skills: Effective communication, customer service, teamwork, resource management, safety adherence, and research participation. Physical demands: Lifting up to 25 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and working with visual display equipment. Work environment: Hospital setting with some physical activity and safety considerations. Additional info: Non-managerial role with variable shifts, no travel required.
