About the Role
Perform high-quality MRI diagnostic imaging in accordance with physicians' orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Prepare the MRI room, operate equipment safely, and process images while maintaining equipment and supplies. Knowledge of growth and development is required to provide age-specific patient care across various populations.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI procedures, position patients, and evaluate image quality.
- Educate patients, address concerns, and promote cooperation to ensure effective imaging.
- Verify procedures, prepare contrast media, and understand contrast agent protocols.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to radiation safety, infection control, and equipment checks.
- Ensure proper patient identification and monitor for adverse reactions, responding swiftly when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
- Adhere to safety policies, document accurately in computer systems, and participate as a team member.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Radiologic Technologist Certification or ARRT MRI Certification.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and BLS certification.
- Knowledge of procedures, safety, and infection control.
Qualifications
Preferred: 1-year MRI experience and cross-sectional anatomy expertise.
