About the Role
Perform technical and professional duties using advanced MRI equipment to produce quality images for interpretation, adhering to departmental policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate complex MRI scanners following protocols and consult with radiologists for non-standard exams.
- Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures, ensuring cooperation, safety, and satisfaction.
- Accurately document patient information, contrast usage, lab values, and safety concerns, and complete charges.
- Stay current with new imaging techniques and protocols through ongoing learning.
- Verify patient safety screening, plan and implement patient care considering developmental stages.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members, and chaperone patients as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- RT(R) certification required; MR preferred, CT State License mandatory.
- Proficiency in routine MRI techniques, cross-sectional anatomy, and computer applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift at least 40 pounds for patient transfers.
