About the Role
Responsible for independently operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and care across all ages.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures with proficiency, maintaining quality and adherence to protocols.
- Identify patients accurately, communicate safety information, and manage sedation needs.
- Prepare and clean scan rooms per protocols, handle contrast materials, and implement emergency procedures.
- Accurately record data, perform quality control, and stay updated on departmental changes.
- Provide clinical instruction to staff and students, coordinate workflow, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Screen patients for magnet safety, execute proper procedures, acquire images, and deliver them timely to radiologists.
Requirements
- Certified through an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- Proficient in computer use, data entry, and mathematical skills.
- No prior experience required, with some provisions for grandfathered staff.
Position reports to a supervisor or manager in a non-management role. Work shifts vary; location is at a designated hospital facility.
