Responsibilities

  • Perform Magnetic Resonance examinations based on physician orders, utilizing advanced MRI equipment.
  • Adapt imaging techniques to meet individual patient needs, ensuring high-quality, optimal images.
  • Apply knowledge and judgment in imaging factors, patient treatment, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
  • Conduct MRI scans accurately, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards, maintain equipment, and document procedures appropriately.

Requirements

  • Possess necessary education, licensure, or registration as an MRI Technologist.
  • Obtain Oregon MRI Technologist License or Temporary License upon hire; new graduates must secure a temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months.
  • Hold BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Within 6 months, acquire national certification from relevant radiologic or MRI technologist boards.
