About the Role
As an MRI Technologist, you will perform and demonstrate your professional knowledge to provide care for our patients in the Imaging department. Under the direction of a physician, you will conduct MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) examinations for patients of all ages using advanced technical knowledge. You will work with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment and initiative, and will be responsible for assessing and addressing patient needs.
This role includes advanced responsibilities such as operating complex MRI equipment, conducting examinations, and providing teaching and guidance to students and staff in MRI technology.
Schedule
- Part-Time: Saturdays (day shift) and Mondays (evening shift)
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations for patients of all ages under physician direction.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment with advanced technical knowledge.
- Assess and address patient needs, interpreting information to provide appropriate care.
- Provide guidance and teaching to students and staff in MRI technology.
- Work with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment and initiative.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date).
- (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification (must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date).
- (ARRT-R) Radiography (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer certification.
- Associate Degree.
