About the Role
Operate MRI equipment independently to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and care for all age groups. Screen patients and staff for magnet safety, communicate effectively, and prepare patients and procedure rooms. Administer contrast agents within scope of practice and implement emergency protocols when required. Perform quality control checks and maintain departmental standards. Provide clinical instruction to staff and students, coordinate workflow, and stay updated on organizational changes and healthcare transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images
- Ensure patient safety and comfort across all age groups
- Screen patients and staff for magnet safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare teams
- Prepare patients and procedure rooms for MRI scans
- Administer contrast agents within defined scope of practice
- Implement emergency protocols as needed
- Perform quality control and maintain departmental standards
- Provide clinical instruction to staff and students
- Coordinate workflow and support departmental operations
- Stay updated on organizational changes and healthcare transformation
- Comply with safety protocols and documentation requirements
Qualifications
- Certified in Radiology and MRI (ARRT or ARMRIT)
- BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- No prior experience required
- Knowledge of computer systems and data entry
- Strong math skills
This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, with variable work shifts.
