About the Role
An MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations using advanced 3T, mobile, and upright scanners in a patient-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment safely to produce diagnostic images for diverse patient populations.
- Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and cooperation during procedures.
- Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and MRI protocols.
- Monitor patients during exams, respond to needs, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain MRI equipment and work areas, ensuring quality control.
- Perform additional duties to support departmental operations.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology school.
- ARRT (R) registration required; ARMRIT registration preferred or to be obtained within one year.
- State licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
- Current BLS certification.
- 0-2 years of modality-specific experience, with preference for at least one year of X-Ray experience.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Physical ability to lift, move patients and equipment, and perform repetitive motions.
Additional Details
- Involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, working in confined spaces, and using fine motor skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed.
