Role Overview
Key Duties
- Perform MRI scans with professionalism, adhering to safety protocols and departmental standards.
- Maintain departmental supplies, report equipment issues, and conduct quality control activities.
- Transport patients, verify orders, and prepare the examination room.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including joint commissions and safety protocols.
- Document activities accurately and process images for interpretation timely.
- Support departmental performance improvement initiatives and training efforts.
- Actively participate in patient education, escalate concerns, and foster a respectful environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s degree or higher; certification in Radiologic Technology or MRI from an accredited program.
- 3-4 years of MRI experience, with the ability to independently perform all MRI protocols.
- Licenses: ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) certification required upon hire; internal candidates with extensive experience may be considered without certification.
- Certifications: BLS, ARMRIT or ARRT MRI registration, and MRI-specific certifications required.
- Knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, patient care, and regulatory standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
