MRI Technologist II

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on MRI procedures.
• Selects appropriate technical factors for MRI scans.
• Supports invasive procedures under MRI guidance.
• Maintains safety protocols, screens patients, and ensures proper positioning.
• Documents care activities and educates patients on procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs equipment quality control and manages departmental supplies.
• Escalates issues as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree or accredited MRI certification.
• 3-4 years of MRI experience, including ability to independently perform protocols.
• ARRMIT or ARRT (MRI) certification required; BLS certification upon hire.
• Knowledge of anatomy, MRI physics, and patient care.
• Ability to work under stress.
