Role & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures under supervision.
- Demonstrate clinical competency across locations and patient populations.
- Select appropriate technical factors, administer contrast, and support invasive MRI procedures.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, training, and departmental activities.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to MR safety protocols, proper patient positioning, and environmental controls.
- Maintain equipment quality, inventory, and report issues promptly.
- Transport and prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide patient education, support, and effective communication to promote comfort.
- Conduct QA activities, identify equipment malfunctions, and escalate concerns.
- Uphold professionalism, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Prioritize patient flow and final image processing for interpretation.
- Maintain a respectful environment aligned with organizational values.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s degree or equivalent; certification in Radiologic Technology or MRI from an accredited program.
- 3-4 years MRI experience, capable of performing protocols independently.
- Licenses: ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) certification required; internal candidates with 10+ years MRI experience may be considered without certification.
- Certifications: BLS, MRI certification, and ARRT/ARMRIT registration required.
- Knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, patient positioning, and safety standards essential.
- Strong communication, technical skills, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
