About the role
MRI Technologist II responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures with clinical competency across various patient populations.
Key Duties
- Counsels patients on MRI procedures, prepares them for the examination, and addresses their concerns.
- Administers contrast agents and supports invasive procedures as needed.
- Maintains safety protocols and ensures the quality of MRI equipment.
- Manages supplies and ensures proper inventory levels.
- Prioritizes patient flow and documents activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Requires an associate's degree or accredited MRI/Radiologic Technology certificate.
- Has 3-4 years MRI experience.
- Must hold ARMRIT or ARRT (MRI) certification.
- BLS certification is also necessary.
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of MRI principles, anatomy, and safety standards.
- Ability to operate MRI equipment and work under stress.
- Ability to learn and understand anatomical and pathological presentations.
- Demonstrates professionalism and adheres to ethical standards.
