Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment independently to produce high-quality images while ensuring patient safety and care across all ages.
- Screen patients and staff entering zones 3 and 4 for magnet safety, including completing safety questionnaires and managing sedation needs.
- Prepare the scan environment, maintain supplies, and follow cleaning protocols.
- Administer contrast materials within scope and implement emergency procedures when necessary.
- Perform quality control tasks, accurately record data, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide clinical instruction to staff and students, manage workflow, and assist with departmental updates.
Qualifications
- Certified through ARRT or ARMRIT in Radiology & MRI, or MRI alone with BLS certification.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; no prior experience required.
- Proficient in computer, data entry, and mathematical skills.
This role reports to a supervisor and involves no management duties.
